Our Sundays services are fairly traditional and relaxed in style. Holy Communion is celebrated each Sunday morning starting at 1030am. We also share a United Service with our friends at the Methodist chapel in Hopwas. This is usually on the fifth Sunday in the month at 6:00pm and alternates between the Chapel and St Chad's Church.
Every Saturday morning from 10:00 to 12:00ish, the church is open and the kettle is on! If you're in the area, want to see the beautiful St Chad's Church inside, find out about the history of it, meet others for a chat or just want a cuppa, pop in! There's no charge but all donations go to the organ restoration fund. We'd love to see you
Wouldn't it be fantastic to have these four amazing talents singing for us? Well, we've got the next best thing! An ABBA tribute night, courtesy of Jango Entertainment, on 9th March, in St Chad's Church at Hopwas. Tickets are priced £8 and include nibbles and a drink. It's going to be ABBAnging evening!!
Fancy yourself as a knowledge guru? Want to test your knowledge? Then join us at St Andrew's Church in Kettlebrook on Friday 9th February for a darn good test of knowledge! 7pmm until 9pm, the quiz costs £5 per adult or £3 under 16's and you can come as an individual or a team. The entry price includes drink and nibbles. Just pay on the door.
Bishop Michael Ipgrave will be confirming 11 candidates on Sunday 18th February at 6pm in St Editha's Church, Tamworth. We are pleased to be supporting one of our congregation as she prepares for her confirmation.
It doesn't seem five minutes since Christmas, does it? Well, time flies, as they say. Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, the 14th February, with a sung Communion at St Editha's Church in Tamworth. The service starts at 7:30pm. Our Parish Lent course starts on Wednesday 21st February in St Editha's Church at 7pm, and continues weekly until 27th March. If you are unable to make the Wednesday evenings, a book of readings and prayers to follow through Lent is available from each of the churches priced £7.
A journey through Easter Week is being planned by the Boater's Christian Fellowship in conjunction with St Chad's and Hopwas Methodist Chapel. The plan is to start with a Passover Meal at sunset on Wednesday on the canal, followed by a guide to Passover and the origins of the Last Supper. Good Friday will see a walk of witness from the chapel to St Chad's, followed by an hour at the foot of the Cross. Saturday there is a talk and discussion on the disciples dilemma following the crucifixion. Sunday we celebrate the Resurrection in St Chad's at 10?:30 and the Chapel at 11:15.

Along with Hopwas Methodist Church, we shall be singing carols in Hopwas on Saturday 16th December starting at St Chads at 4pm.We shall then go on to the Red Lion, the Coton and Hopwas Social Club, the Tame Otter and finally to the Methodist Chapel where we shall enjoy soup and a roll, mince pies and hot drinks thanks to the congregation of Hopwas Methodist Chapel.
A service for all the family to enjoy, we relate the story of the first Christmas, distribute Christingles to everyone and sing well known carols in the atmospheric surroundings of St Chad's Church. Come along and bring the children to join in the festive fun and raise funds for the Children's Society. Sunday 17th December 2023 at 4pm.
Our annual Carol Service takes place on Christmas Eve at 6pm in St Chad's Church. A warm welcome awaits you as we start our celebrations of Christ's birth. Come along and here the nine traditional stories leading to Christ's birth and sing some well known carols.
We shall celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, this Christmas, on Christmas Day at 10:30am in St Chad's Church with Holy Communion led by Rev Vic. Do join us and celebrate Christ's birth.
Our first Social event of 2024, to sweep away the post-Christmas blues, is an evening of light music with Melody Express. This band has played for us at the Summer Fair for the last two years. They have a wide repertoire of easy-to-listen-to music. The ticket price of £6 adults and £4 children includes drink and nibbles. Don't be stuck at home with the winter blues, come and let your hair down with Melody Express. Put the date, January 13th at 7pm, in your diary and get your tickets now.
